We are all human (I know....shocking revelation, right?). With that being said, we all make mistakes. Every single one of us.
Yep - despite how perfect we think we are. Despite how we think we know everything. That we couldn't possibly ever be wrong or make mistakes. We all do.
The sad truth is that we all know this, but we tend to forget it when it comes to others. We forgive ourselves, but we find it so hard to forgive others. We often continue throwing those mistakes in other people's faces. We think it makes them bad. Or wrong. Or that we are somehow better than them.
But the reality is none of us are free from making mistakes. From making bad choices in life. It's what makes life interesting! Even if we wish we could go back and change those choices!
I know I've made some choices that I regret, that I wish I could change. But when I stop to think about where I am in life, I realize making those choices is what led me to exactly where I am. And I wouldn't change that for anything.
Y'all...life is a series of choices. Some choices we make will be really great ones. And some choices we make will be some not so great ones. It doesn't make us bad or awful...it simply makes us human.
None of us have all the answers. None of us have a crystal ball to tell us exactly what we should (or shouldn't) do. Wouldn't life be so much more BORING if that were the case?!
I know I don't have all the answers. And sometimes that causes me a lot of anxiety and wondering what if. But I also know that it's okay to not have the answers. To trust in God (or a higher power, whatever you believe in)...that God has all the answers. And He knows way better than I do.
And truthfully, no matter the mistakes we've made, God has always forgiven me. And He always will. He doesn't hold grudges and He doesn't judge me.
So why do we do it to others? Why do we hold things against people? People make mistakes. It happens. Who are we to judge or hold it against them? Because we aren't perfect either. We make mistakes too.
Remember, making mistakes doesn't make us or them bad people. It makes us all human.
Let's stop holding grudges and judging and thinking we are better than everyone else. Let's have grace and forgiveness and love for others. Let's remember that we are all human and that we are all trying our best, every day.
I love y'all. And thank you for not holding my mistakes against me.
Have a beautiful week. Be kind to one another.
With love and wellness,
