So at a networking event last week, we were asked to tell one thing we were thankful for and the best thing that happened to us this year. It got me thinking that while I am grateful for so many things, I don't really acknowledge all that I have as much as I should.
We all kind of do that. We focus more on what we want instead of being thankful for what we already have. So here goes. I want to talk about the things I am grateful for in 2016, and of course, talk about the best thing that happened this year. In the spirit of Thanksgiving week :) So duh. Of course, the best thing that happened this year was that I married my best friend! But along with that, there are SO MANY THINGS that were "the best" this year. Scott and I bought our first house together in January. We took our first family vacation in July. We got engaged on said family vacation! We got married in October...during Hurricane Matthew, of all days! LOL. How can I not be grateful for this amazing year and all that it has blessed me with?? Oh, and I can't forget that I quit my government job in March to pursue my passions. To be able to work for myself, in my own business, helping others. It may not have been the easiest path, but I am so incredibly thankful for Scott and his support and his help in building my business. I am grateful for the difficult times, because it has truly made me appreciate all that I have and the good times life has given me. I knew that working for myself would be WORK, but I don't think I realized the extent of it. However, I am truly blessed for where this journey has taken me, what I've learned, and where I am heading! I am also thankful for having 3 beautiful step-children, two pups, chickens (LOL), and our beautiful home! I'm thankful for Crossfit keeping me strong and the opportunity to coach something I am passionate about! I'm thankful for Rodan+Fields and how it is literally changing our family's lives! I am thankful for doTERRA and giving our family the option of using natural alternatives (and smelling really nice too!). I am thankful for my family and friends and all their support on my journey. I seriously couldn't be more blessed to have each and every one of them in my life! I could go on for days, but I won't bore you all to tears. Just know that I am deeply grateful and incredibly blessed in my life. What are YOU grateful for? Start or end your day writing down 3 things you are grateful for. Some days will be harder than others; I know that. But there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. YES....ALWAYS!!! I love you all. And am so blessed to have YOU as a part of my support system! Have a truly beautiful and blessed Thanksgiving! I hope you are spending it with family and friends and the ones you love. Cherish the memories. Be thankful for these moments. Have an awesome week! With love and wellness, Whitney
