Life is a series of comparisons. But it shouldn't be.
We look at our neighbors, our friends, our family, our peers. We wonder if we aren't doing enough, why we don't have more, why our lives look different than theirs.
We want to keep up with the Jones'. With what's posted on social media.
We drive ourselves into the ground trying to keep up. We spend money we don't have to buy things we don't need so we look like we're doing well. Or that we have more. Whatever it is we're trying to "prove."
I know I've been guilty of this. Of playing the comparison game. Of wondering why I wasn't further along. Of wondering if I was falling behind. Of trying to compete with other people.
The thing about this life is that we aren't in competition with one another. We shouldn't compare ourselves to anyone else, because guess what? We. Are. All. Different.
We live different lives. We are at different places in our lives. We are different people. With different things going on in our lives.
We can't compare our lives to our peers or family or friends. We can't compare our lives to what we see on social media. We can't compare, period.
Because the truth is... We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes in other people's lives. Ever.
We live in a crazy world, y'all. Instead of competing with one another, we should be helping each other out. We should be collaborating with each other. Cooperating. Not competing.
Let's look out for one another. Not make it harder on each other.
So this week, starting today, remember that you aren't in competition with anyone else. There's no reason to be. We are all fighting our own battles daily.
Let's help one another out. Remember there is enough abundance out there for all of us. We are all enough. Be authentic to yourself. Be authentic in your life. Be authentic, period.
Don't try to keep up with anyone else...don't bury yourself in debt trying to prove anything to anyone else.
Today and always, you are enough. You have enough.
I love y'all. Have a beautiful week.
With love and wellness,
